Pension Schweizer Hof

We’ve stayed here for years and have always been happy with the service, the rooms, and the almost family-like feel. The buffet is fresh, generous, and clearly prepared with care. The rooms are very clean, and the bar and coffee machine are handy and reasonably priced. We always feel welcome, and we’ve never thought of staying anywhere else. The whole package works perfectly for us.

The location is peaceful but still close to the center. We spent five nights at the guesthouse and found the price very good for what we got. The room and bathroom were clean, neat, and well looked after, and the breakfast buffet was very good.

We first stayed at the "Schweizer Hof" at the beginning of December and would happily return. It’s a rustic building in a central spot, with the old town and train station both a 10-minute walk away. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and our clean rooms had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful. In the lobby, the minibar, coffee machine, and tea-making supplies were all available at great prices. Simply superb.

If we come back to Wernigerode, we already know where we’ll stay. The guesthouse has a cozy charm, and it’s quiet but still close enough to walk to the town center in about 15 minutes. Many sights can be reached on foot within 30 minutes. The staff were friendly and kept the rooms clean and tidy. I liked the good, balanced breakfast selection, and they made sure everything was replenished and guests had what they needed. Thanks again for the pleasant stay and hospitality. We were there from February 7th to 11th.
