The apartment was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had all the furnishings and fixtures we needed. As with any self-catering place, you have to bring small basics like washing-up liquid. We learned that the hard way, but soon found what we needed at a supermarket by the bus stop in central Wernigerode. The free bus pass was a great idea, and the local people were so friendly and helpful to us two British visitors, whose German was limited. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, and we loved the cat too. The location is ideal for a peaceful break and getting out to explore: it's outside the main town, with a regular bus stop right outside, and we were delighted to find that the mountain railway stops there too. Wernigerode is a stunning, beautiful town. We loved our stay and will return.

I stayed here with my dog and really appreciated all the walking options nearby. The apartment is lovely, well kept, and in a quiet location, with free parking right in front of the house. The bus stop and train station are very close, but it still stays peaceful. Frau Borchert was very kind and friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend Villa Borchert.

The Borchert family are very friendly, and the apartment was spotless and perfectly equipped. It's also a good fit for dogs. There are plenty of parking spaces, and lovely paths run along the railway line into town, about a 25-minute walk. The location is on the edge of town, with a bus stop and the Hasserode station of the Brocken Railway right outside, yet it's quiet. Great hiking trails start from here too. Thanks for a wonderful holiday, see you soon!

The apartment was very clean and superbly equipped, and the Borchert family were very friendly. It's a place where dogs can feel at home too. The location is fantastic, with great hiking trails nearby and a bus stop and the Brocken Railway right outside. Despite that, it's very quiet. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
