The view from the windows was lovely, with horses in the sunshine to wake up to. Bettina was a friendly host and speaks Dutch, and the dog was a great playmate. We had a great stay in a luxurious apartment with very comfortable beds and all the amenities we could need. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and fully equipped, and there’s even a washer for clothes. Just one small gripe: the bedroom blinds don’t block the morning sun very well.

We’ve stayed in this lovely, spacious holiday apartment three times now. The setting is fantastic, surrounded by nature. From the large terrace, living room, and bedroom, you can look out over a big horse pasture and the Süderbäke. The friendly landlady is very attentive, helpful, and thoughtful. The apartment is right on a bike path, and we set off on some of our nicest rides from there. When we holiday in beautiful Ammerland again, we’ll rent it once more.

Ammerland is a fantastic place for a holiday. In just one week, we visited the area around Lake Zwischenahn, the Park of Gardens, and Gristede, among other places. Some of the landscape is wooded, while elsewhere it opens into meadows and fields. The cycle paths are great, and Komoot helped us plan plenty of long rides on our bikes. We were so rested that we booked again for next year on our last day, a little earlier this time since we nearly missed the rhododendron bloom. It was our second stay in the beautiful, spacious apartment, quietly set at the edge of a forest with meadows on the other side of the house. The landlady was very friendly. Well worth it, and highly recommended.

There’s plenty to explore nearby, so we weren’t bored during our week. Within walking distance there’s a lovely shared garden, a playground, and a forest for kids and adults to explore. We also went to Hössenbad in Westerstede, the Zwischenahner Meer, and Janssen Erlebnishof. Trips to Oldenburg or the North Sea are well worth considering too. We had a wonderful family holiday here. The hostess gave us a warm welcome, and we felt very comfortable in the accommodation. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bathroom had everything we wanted, and the bedroom and living room were cozy. In lovely summer weather, the large terrace was a great place to sit. We’ll certainly come back!

The hostess is personable and lovely to chat with, and the price is perfectly fair. It’s a cozy apartment with everything you need, set in really idyllic surroundings. We’d be happy to return :)
