The food was extraordinary, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We had a clean, comfortable room with a wonderful river view while visiting relatives and vacationing in Germany. Thanks for such a pleasant stay. I highly recommend it.

The rooms could use an update, but the hotel sits on a slope with a lovely view across the region. We stayed one night, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of it.

We had a nice dinner and enjoyed staying in this unusual hotel built around the ruins of Volmarstein. The views over the area are great, and the three-star hotel fully lives up to that level. We’ll return to the hotel and restaurant.

The food at Burgschränke was excellent, authentic German cooking, and we really enjoyed our evening. The service felt a little odd at first. When we arrived, I got the impression that mostly locals come here, but I liked the food very much.
