Villa Vera

Great!

We had our wedding at Villa Vera on April 30, 2019, after choosing it a year ahead and renting the whole villa and its suites. It turned out to be a beautiful celebration, and we were so happy with our choice that we’d get married there again. Ms. Tennie helped with all our planning questions and decorated everything just as we’d agreed. The team was lovely, and service was friendly and attentive. All 60 guests got their drinks promptly. The attendant who was meant to be there after 10:00 p.m. was very nice too. We knew about that arrangement before signing the villa contract and had even mentioned it in the invitations. DJ Moritz made a great party of it, with plenty of dancing all evening. He’d also talked things through with us beforehand and took notes on what we wanted. Tom, our photographer, was excellent as well, and we’re more than pleased with how the photos came out. Everything with Mr. Gruss went as discussed. He did what he said he would, kept his word, and there were no extra charges. On his recommendation, we ordered the food from Stolzenhoff, and it was very good; everything there went to plan. We were also very happy with the cake from Stolte. Our guests gave us only positive feedback, and we were overjoyed with how well the wedding went.

We had a great time in the Golden Suite and will book it again. A few things could be better, though. The TV isn’t HD and would look nicer mounted on the wall, and the wardrobe, which looks like it came from Poco, doesn’t fit the rest of the room. The capsule coffee machine was full of used capsules after just one cup. With no staff around, we couldn’t get help or even a cup of coffee, which would have been especially nice in the morning.

The owner could pay more attention to hygiene, which could use improvement. Even so, I was very satisfied overall with this charming old building, where the feel of another era meets modern luxury.
