Best Western Hotel Alte Mühle

It’s usually full, so you need to book ahead. This is my favourite hotel in Germany for business trips to Wolfsburg, and I always stay here. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, and the gym is well equipped. Even though it’s meant to close at 10 pm, they’ve never bothered me when I stayed until 11 pm. Breakfast is good too, with plenty to choose from.

Lidl, dm, and other shops are just 100 meters from the hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly, and there’s a sauna as well. I also really enjoyed the food at the restaurant. A good place to stay, and one I’d recommend.

The minibar setup felt fair, and my room was clean. I liked the hotel’s holistic service too. The automatic room lights were a little annoying since I’d rather choose when they switch on or off, but that’s a small issue. Great hotel.

Shopping for basics is easy, with supermarkets across from the hotel, and Wolfsburg city centre is about 10 min away by car. The hotel works well for both business and private trips. Its restaurant is excellent, though it’s often full or rented out for private parties.
