Communication with the landlord was excellent, and the house matched the photos. We loved its architecture, the garden, and the peaceful setting. With all those windows, indoors and outdoors seemed to blend together. I did take off a star because there are unnecessary warning signs all over the house, like “Please do not hold onto the tap” and “Please do not pierce the toaster with a fork.” We also only learned when we arrived that the washing machine and sauna cost extra. A minor oversight, but still.

We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the house. It’s centrally located in the village, with attractive design details and a well-equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The house is cozy and lovely, though we did miss a few basics such as garbage bags and paper towels, which we’ve found in other rentals. We found the sauna charge a little unclear: the house is advertised as having its own sauna, but the fee is only mentioned in the booking confirmation. The many “no” signs, such as the one about not putting a fork in the toaster, also made us feel a bit unwelcome, almost like small children. One other small complaint: the duvets were much too thin for our early November trip, though that’s a matter of personal preference. When we first asked about the seasonal rate, we were given the wrong one, but they corrected it quickly after we got in touch.
