The owners are friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the food is good. I'll definitely return during the summer.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially liked how quiet the location was, and breakfast was generous and made with care. A big thanks to the new hosts. They're warm, attentive, and always willing to help without hovering. You feel almost like a friend of the house instead of a guest. We'd love to come back next year and highly recommend the guesthouse.

The common room, with armchairs, a pool table, and games, was a nice place to spend time. The old pool table could use an update, though, since it's not in great shape and the balls sometimes roll to one side. Breakfast had everything I wanted, and you can order a packed lunch with three sandwiches and an apple. It would have helped to know ahead of time what was offered for dinner. There are vegetarian options, but vegan food would probably be difficult, and oat milk at breakfast would have been nice. The new owners took over the guesthouse in July 2025, which might explain why reviews vary so much with the frequent ownership changes. I was very satisfied with my stay. Both owners were really nice, greeted me personally when I arrived, and were welcoming and open to a chat in the mornings. I invited a friend to join me on the spur of the moment. I'll definitely recommend the place and will probably come back.

I slept well here, and breakfast was okay. The rooms are a little dated, but clean, and the price was good for what you get. The host couple were very friendly. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to the Harz Mountains.
