Hauserwirt

A nice house with plenty of rooms.

We liked it so much at Hauserwirt that we ended up extending our stay on the spur of the moment. Everything was spotless, and the beds were really comfortable, with warm, cozy blankets. The apartment has a kitchen with dining space, a living room, hallway, bedroom with a double bed and two singles, and a bathroom with a shower and natural light. You can step onto the big balcony from either the living room or bedroom. Parking is right outside the house. The house is in the typical Bavarian style, and the very friendly owners live there too. It sits just beyond the village among a few farmhouses, with fields and forest all around, mountains in view, and hardly any noise. Oberammergau and Unterammergau, Wieskirche, Bad Bayersoien, Neuschwanstein Castle and other places are easy to reach. They have play equipment for kids in the garden, plus cleaning supplies, a vacuum, a freezer and books. There are also brochures and maps for nearby sights, and the landlords were happy to share ideas for outings and shopping. We'd love to come back, maybe in another season.

The owners were warm and helpful, and the hospitality was excellent. Our apartment was bright, roomy, and thoughtfully laid out; the rooms were spacious, clean, and welcoming. A lovely place to unwind in nature.

We had a lovely weekend here, with a beautiful sunrise and nature all around. It's wonderfully quiet, just right if you want a peaceful holiday. Austria and places like Neuschwanstein Castle are easy to get to. The owners were very friendly and shared some excursion tips. Breakfast was included for us and there was plenty of it. We also had parking right outside and Wi-Fi. We'd happily return.
