Wilhelms Haven Hotel

Right in central Wilhelmshaven, this little hotel is simple but nice, and the main attractions are all within walking distance. Parking at the hotel is convenient. My room was clean, roomy, pleasant, and everything worked. The complimentary WiFi had good bandwidth. And when you leave a review, they give you a complimentary beer!

The staff were really nice and helpful, and the room price was medium. The room was warm and clean with a very nice bed. There were very few TV channels, though, and the shower drain was clogged, so I nearly flooded the whole bathroom. The walls are so thin you can hear other guests showering or snoring without even trying. My bed was against the wall where the neighboring room's bathroom was.

The location is quite close to the city centre, and the beach and marina are about a 30-minute walk away. Parking at the hotel costs an extra €7. On weekdays, Contipark Nordsee passage is a lot cheaper, but that garage is closed on Sundays. The recently renovated rooms were clean, with small but spacious bathrooms and a nice rain shower. There was a Nespresso machine in the room with four cups, and you can buy more at reception. Breakfast costs an additional €9.50 per person. The buffet was large and plentiful, with big Nespresso machines for regular coffee, macchiato, cappuccino and other kinds. Fruit juice, water, milk and tea were available too.

The atmosphere is relaxing, and it's close to the shopping Promenade. The food was amazing, especially the Bratkartoffeln. I loved them!
