Frankenwald Chalets - Chalets

The kitchen had everything we needed, and the place felt spacious and full of daylight. It was also wonderfully quiet, with birds and running water instead of much passing traffic, while amenities were still nearby. We had a great stay. I’d add a microwave, and the mattresses could use replacing since they had a deep dip.

We came for one night in February, and even our dog seemed to love the stay. It’s always nice to find somewhere that welcomes dogs. The clean, thoughtfully furnished chalets made it easy to relax, and the whole place felt like another world. The bed was a little too small for us, which is why I’ve taken off a star. We’ll definitely come back.

Walking through the snowy woods around the quiet, secluded property felt magical. The wooden chalets are really cute and have everything needed for a restful weekend for two. We even got to enjoy the hot tub at -7°C. We’d happily return.

We were very satisfied, and the stay went beyond what we expected. The property and chalet were spotless and well cared for, and the chalet had all the things we needed, right down to barbecue tongs. There was plenty of room in the fridge, including a freezer compartment. We stayed for two nights and barbecued one evening. The hot tub was fantastic, though it took about four hours to heat from its starting temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, so allow for that depending on the season, as the instructions also mention. The shower and toilet were modern, high-quality, and impeccably maintained. We were very happy and might well return.
