The hotel's setting among nature is beautiful, its biggest plus. But after cleaning, the rooms still aren't left tidy. Breakfast is the same every day, which gets monotonous, and the staff aren't as friendly or helpful as you'd expect from a hotel in this category. I've been here five days with my eight-month-old baby, and the same issues with the rooms and breakfast keep happening. They just don't seem to care.

The rooms need serious attention if they're going to match the hotel's facilities and team. Our carpet smelled strongly unpleasant, and there was a persistent smoke smell in the room. It was also uncomfortably hot inside, making it hard to relax after a day out. We stayed at the H+ Hotel in Willingen during the summer. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the location was convenient and accessible, and breakfast was a real highlight with great variety and quality. Those good points didn't quite make up for the room conditions.

The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast buffet had a great selection. They also let us check out late for free. Still, there were a few disappointments. The breakfast hostesses were super rude, and the first thing they did when breakfast officially ended was switch off the coffee corner. The wellness area only opens at 3:30 PM, something not mentioned when booking, so there's little time to use it on a one-night stay. We were also charged more than the “price includes ALL taxes and charges” agreement from booking.com, and the hotel staff were rude when we asked about it.

The forest and great walking routes are very close by, and the hotel is dog friendly. We had a family room, which was nice and big, and the service was great. Prices are a bit higher, but I'd recommend a family room with breakfast. There's lots of choice, and everything was very fresh each day.

The family room had plenty of space and felt comfortable, though the beds were too hard. Breakfast was okay, but dinner had already sold out by 5pm. Getting around by car is convenient, and the low key slopes are within walking distance. Service could be better, as things felt confusing and unclear.
