The kids said these were the best waffles they’d ever had. We loved the atmosphere, too. Such a great place.

We stopped here during a hike and found a sunny outdoor seating area with a lovely view. There’s plenty to choose from on the menu, with hot and cold drinks and both sweet and savory food. The fruit-topped cream puffs are especially worth trying. It’s a lovely family-run café, and we were glad we visited.

The guesthouse is a handy base for longer hikes, and the area around the café makes it easy to slow down for a while. I’d recommend stopping in for coffee, too. The cakes and pastries are always fresh.

The window seat came with a lovely view, and both the apple strudel and cream puffs tasted great. The swan-neck shape made me smile 😁. The decor does feel a little stuck in the past. I also don’t think animals belong in restaurants. A family came in with a dog, and the wet-dog smell was awful, so we left as soon as we could.

The place was very clean, and the owner was friendly. We had great coffee and cake while out hiking, and the cake from the owner’s pastry chef was divine. We also saw another guest with a swan-shaped cream puff, which looked fantastic. We’d be happy to come back.
