The cozy rooms and the red and gold countryside made our autumn stay feel almost like a fairytale. We only chose to stay outside Hamburg because hotels there were mostly booked, but it turned into a lovely trip. The rooms are spacious and have a beautiful historic feel, warm and homey rather than cold or modern. A lovely little retreat I'd recommend.

A very cozy hotel in a small town, with free parking right outside. The room felt more like a suite and was far beyond what I expected. I arrived late and couldn't reach the hotel by phone, but the reception was open and my key, with my name on it, was on the front table. There was also a number on the door to call if I had questions.

I lived in Tangstedt for three years and somehow never went inside until recently. It's a beautiful place, and the staff were kind, helpful, and patient, with great service. And the burgers are SO GOOD!!!!!!

I was there for a short business trip and had a great time. The location, food, and service were excellent. I can absolutely recommend it.

I only stayed one night at this great little family hotel in town. The breakfast and service were good. The one downside was that they only take cash, with no card payments.
