Gästehaus Windhagen

The owner was really friendly, booking was easy, and there’s parking right outside. The rooms are large, and the self-service coffee is a nice touch. It’s a lovely guesthouse in a very central but quiet spot. The room itself was noisy, though, and the mattress was bad. The bed squeaked so much that turning over would definitely wake your partner. The heating was set to 17 degrees Celsius overnight, which was too cold for me. Without the bed issue, I’d give it five stars.

Dogs being welcome was a big deal for me, since that isn’t always possible in this region. I also like how quiet and private the guesthouse feels. There’s no bar or big shared area, which suits me just fine. I’ve stayed at the guesthouse in Windhagen several times and am always glad to come back. The renovated rooms are modern, clean, and nicely done, and it’s clear money has gone into them. Prices are fair, and contacting Ms. Vietor is always friendly and easy. I’ll definitely be back.

The bathroom is huge, and the place was very clean and well furnished. It’s away from the main routes, which makes it quiet.

Everything’s just right here. The rooms are lovely and have a terrace, everything is kept very clean, and the service is really friendly. I keep coming back. See you soon 😊👋
