Bergloft Winterberg

Great apartments in a super location.

Top.

I booked because of the good reviews, the location, the space, and the free Wi-Fi. There was no Wi-Fi during my stay, despite many attempts to get it working. I had to use my phone for internet and ended up with a high phone bill. Everything was handled digitally, so we didn't see a host. When we arrived, there weren't enough sheets and towels. I reported it, and luckily I was able to make up two beds for the night. The toilet seat had pubic hair on it, the sink wasn't clean, and there was lots of trash under the beds. The fridge wasn't switched on. The disinfectant soap at the entrance ran out after our first day. The TV didn't work, though luckily my husband is good with technology. It only had three German channels anyway. There were beer cans on the balcony, and one evening it was very noisy. I also had to climb into a bathtub to shower. And so on. The place is spacious, the beds are comfortable, and with the warm weather we could sit outside, with plenty of outdoor space. The location is very central.

There was loads of room for two families with two children in the apartment in Thal. It was superbly equipped, especially the kitchen, which had almost everything you'd have at home. The children's playroom and the adults' sauna in the basement were perfect for bad weather. We'll be back!
