The location was perfect, though the hotel didn't feel new. Our bedsheet was clean but not new either. The pool water was extremely cold, especially after a day of skiing, so I wouldn't recommend using it then. The sauna area is tiny, with room for only one or two people, and breakfast didn't feel up to four-star standards.

A ski holiday works really well here. The hotel is close to both the town center and the ski slopes, and it has all the amenities you'd need, plus more. The staff were super nice, the atmosphere was great, and the food was tasty. I'd definitely come back.

The team gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful in arranging a baby bed. Having a table set up for us in advance at breakfast was a nice touch.

My room was small and faced straight onto the street, so it got a bit noisy with the window open. Aside from that, it was clean and well maintained. The sauna and pool were clean and in good condition, and the staff were consistently polite and provided good service. I'd choose this place again if I visit Winterberg.

A great stay, and the food was a particular highlight.
