It's a small apartment, but tidy and functional, with what you need and comfortable mattresses. I was glad I had brought my own pillows, though. The TV is dated, so there's no Netflix. Parking is always available, and the very friendly hostess is another plus. Best of all, the location lets you walk straight onto the slopes.
The place was clean, and the landlords were friendly. Inside, there's a bedroom, bathroom, living area, and kitchen built into the living room, so making your own meals is easy. We liked settling in for an evening in front of the TV, and the town center is close if you'd rather go out to eat. It's about a 5-10-minute walk into Winterberg.
There are lovely walks starting right at the house, and the Neuastenberg piste is close enough to reach on foot. The apartment is small and privately owned, but clean and very well equipped.
For two people, the setup works well: a separate bedroom and a living room with a kitchenette. There's also a large flat-screen TV with a Dutch channel.
The landlady was friendly and accommodating, and the accommodation was spotless and well looked after. The ski slope is directly opposite.
