Ferienwohnung Klauke

My boyfriend and I didn't have a good experience here, though we could put up with it for one night. The owner was quite nice, but the place felt old and far from pleasant. There were cobwebs all over, mildew marks on the tablecloths, and stains on the sofa. We also had to wash the dishes and cooking utensils before using them. I'm sorry to leave this review, but that's honestly how it was for us.

There was plenty of room for us in the Klauke family’s apartment, with two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a big bathroom, and a smaller one with a shower and toilet beside a bedroom. The price felt very fair for a place that size, and we were comfortable there for the few days we stayed. The kitchen has most things you might need, and Mrs. Klauke will gladly lend you an unusual utensil if she has one. Children are welcome too. Mine were making a lot of noise, but when I apologized, Mrs. Klauke said it was fine because they’re children. I’d recommend the Klauke vacation apartment without hesitation.

The location was quiet, with two good three-star restaurants close enough to walk to. Parking was easy, and we got a good welcome. It’s a small place but nice, with a kitchen that’s nearly fully equipped and easy to heat. The bed and sofa were hard, though, and could be better.

We found it incredibly affordable for four adults, with two very roomy bedrooms, two bathrooms, and separate kitchen and living room. The welcome was lovely too, with cookies, a bottle of bubbly, and even made beds. It’s about a 15-minute drive to P6 in Winterberg for some fantastic skiing. Definitely worth a visit!
