We booked two roomy rooms, and the non-smoking one was noticeably nicer than the other. Both had a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and fridge, and the price was very good for what you get. The hostess was friendly and thoughtful with us. It’s also well placed for mountain biking, not far from Willingen, Winterberg, and Brilon.

The listing says there are two bedrooms, but in practice there’s really just one, so this won’t suit you if you need two separate bedrooms. I also don’t understand the positive reviews. The place was very dirty, with cobwebs, flies on the ceiling, and sticky kitchen cupboards, among other things. There was a musty smell too.

The bus stop is right outside, and Winterberg is about 15 minutes away. It’s also right beside the ski slope, toboggan run, and summer downhill mountain biking trails. The apartment sits on a hillside with a lovely view over Niedersfeld, and Mrs. Schubert was a very nice hostess.

Good service, a nice shower, and we even got a bar of Milka chocolate. The people were lovely and speak Dutch too. It’s close to the ski slopes. 10/10, I’d rent it again.
