The hostess made the stay special. She was always happy to chat, and when I asked if the fireplace in the sitting area could be lit, she sent her son straight out for wood. After my hike, I was chilled to the bone, so warming up by that fire was the highlight. I love simple places with wonderful owners, and I'll definitely be back. The bed was very comfortable, and the pillow and duvet were fantastic. The guesthouse is basic, but it was perfect for my solo break. Parking is right outside, and the location is great for walking and skiing. Breakfast is served by the window, with a great view of the slopes. Skiers can head straight from the ski room onto the slopes, provided there's enough snow. The rooms are very basic, but I gladly give it five stars.

I booked two nights while exploring the Hochsauerland region by motorcycle. The room was very clean, and breakfast was nicely served and perfectly adequate. The friendly service really stood out, with time for a pleasant chat. I'd gladly stay again anytime 👌

The location worked well for us, right by the slopes and convenient for Winterberg, with easy access to the town center. The ski bus also stops right outside the hotel. We had a wonderful overnight stay, with a friendly hostess and a good breakfast in the morning. Everything was well arranged. Highly recommended.

The accommodation was very clean, with no complaints there. Breakfast was adequate. For a quieter room, ask for one facing the back, as the road is much too noisy. It's 5km west of Winterberg, just under an hour's walk.

It's simple and a bit dated, but clean and everything is in order. The hostess was very friendly. There's parking right outside, space for bicycles in the garage, and a self-service drinks fridge in the breakfast room. The simple balcony gets plenty of sun. Good value for money.
