The food was very poor, dishes weren't replenished, and dessert meant only pre-packaged ice cream. Staff seemed unhappy and unhelpful, and the guidance was very weak, especially for anyone unfamiliar with the area. We booked a family room a month ahead, but it wasn't prepared for us and our child. After a long wait, nobody offered a solution beyond squeezing an old extra bed into the already tiny, outdated room, which lacked basic amenities. We'd reserved five nights over New Year but checked out after two. No apology, room change, or compensation was offered. I can't recommend it.

Winterberg center is about a 20-minute walk away. There are skiing and sledding areas nearby, and it's also a nice spot for hiking.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. I really enjoyed the views and the amazing service. I loved it and want to come back again and again 🥰

We liked how warm the room was, and it had a TV, desk, and extra chairs. It was clean, with a small bathroom that had what we needed. The two beds were pushed together, though, and sleeping two that way took a bit of effort. The location is quiet and cosy, with ski slopes and lifts very close, and it's easy to get to the lively center. Breakfast was a fresh, varied buffet that we really enjoyed. Dinner was delicious, with different choices each evening, and the restaurant itself felt cosy. The sauna and pool area with its lounge was nice too, although the pool was cold.

The room was on the small side but adequate. We had a lovely stay, with a good selection at both the evening and breakfast buffets, and a nice sauna.
