Toplokatie Sauerland

We all loved our family weekend here. The house had far more space than we expected, and we made good use of the shared dining area, gym, and play area (hunting hut). The village is small and peaceful, with quiet evenings, which suited us well. Winterberg is just a 10-minute drive, though it gets very busy on snowy weekends. We were glad that charming, much quieter Postwiese was only five minutes away. I think Postwiese works for everyone: beginners can learn winter sports there, little ones have great sledding slopes, and more experienced visitors can enjoy the fun park, which is fun for all ages. The owner of TopLocatie Sauerland was friendly and quick to respond whenever we needed help. The information and communication were excellent and useful. Thanks from the whole family for a wonderful time in the beautiful Sauerland.

We were eight adults and five children for a weekend in Winterberg, and there's plenty to do in summer as well as winter. The spacious house worked really well for our mix of families. We used four apartments and enjoyed the garden and BBQ. The back terrace opens onto the kitchen in apartment 1, so we spent time there in the mornings and evenings. Ronald was easy to reach and quick to answer questions, and the welcome pack had lots of fun ideas for exploring the lovely area. All the apartments also have super-fast internet.

The village itself is pretty quiet for things to do, but Winterberg is nearby. The apartments are beautiful, with a separate dining room and another room to spend the evening.

We were generally happy with this spacious, nicely laid-out place for five days with 23 people, including 14 children. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, and the landlord was easy to deal with and almost always available, as other reviews have mentioned. We do recommend the accommodation, and thank the landlord. There were a couple of minor downsides. We found it unpleasant to get WhatsApp messages from the landlord right at 10 pm asking us to close the windows because the neighbors across the street were noisy. It was also disconcerting to see the landlord's camera with audio mounted right beside the living room window.
