The room was tidy and clean.

The location is really handy, about 100 meters from the ski slope and 500 meters from the bobsled track, with the center less than a 10-minute walk away. I sleep well here too, even with my back problems, which isn't a given for me in a hotel. I've stayed several times and keep coming back. The family is very friendly, and both breakfast and dinner are good. The schnitzels are especially tasty. I'd recommend it!

The hotel is in a lovely spot right beside the slopes, and breakfast was fine. But for what we paid, the room wasn't good enough. We booked the six-person room for five, and it was poorly maintained, with a smelly bathroom and beds that creaked.

Winterberg is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with lots to do. Still, at this price I'd choose another hotel. We came expecting a relaxing weekend and got a room with dirty towels. When we asked for clean ones, those were dirty too. The bed creaked, the bathroom tap leaked, and the shower curtain had some mold. The room also felt completely unsafe because its 18th-century lock seemed easy to break through. The food was okay, but I was disappointed when I asked for the menu and never got it. It's a family-run place with a mother, father, and son. The son was friendly, but the owner, the father, wasn't friendly at all. Best regards.
