You can spend a whole day relaxing here, reading or taking a slow breakfast, and the roof terrace gets sun all day. The old town sights are easy to reach on foot, while being just outside the center means you can park nearby, something you can't do inside the old town. It's a lovingly restored, stylish house dating from the second half of the 19th century. For colder days there's a large, lovely bathroom with a tub and private sauna. The courtyard loggia is covered, so you can sit outdoors or barbecue even when there's a bit of drizzle.

We had a really friendly, helpful landlord who was always available. St. Georgen is also ideally placed for exploring Wismar, which deserves more than a single day's visit. I'd gladly stay here again.

The stairs are very steep, so be aware of that. Otherwise, it's a tastefully furnished cottage with antiques, beautifully renovated and right in a great spot in the city center.
