We could easily walk to the harbor and all around the city, and the staff and location couldn’t have been better. Breakfast was served table side, which was a nice treat. The rooms had character and were clean and quiet. Bicycle parking was secure but exposed to the weather. That wasn’t a problem for us, but bring a seat cover.

It’s very quirky, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent and served to the table. The room was comfortable, but its design made it feel dark and cluttered, and the wifi was awful. The generic mobile signal was just as bad. There’s bookable private parking for 8 Euro per day through a narrow arch. It’s handy for the town centre and harbor area, but I felt the price was too high.

We stayed three nights and highly recommend it. This is a somewhat different kind of hotel, without mass catering, and breakfast is beautifully presented. The rooms are quaint and unusual, but beautiful and lovingly furnished. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It’s a small, authentic hotel with charming historic character and furnishings. The courtyard entrance is narrow, though a Skoda Octavia 5e fit through, for reference.

In my opinion, they’re completely inflexible about reservations. Really, this gets zero stars from me, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I won’t book here again. I’m still looking forward to my next trip to Wismar, though, and staying at a different hotel.
