We were very pleased with the family room and how clean it was. It had one large room, a smaller kitchen available to use, and a toilet. Being just outside Wismar's old town worked perfectly for us. There's no staff on site, which suited us fine. Breakfast was available to buy, but we decided against it. We'd be glad to come back in the future.

At least it was clean. The house itself is in poor shape, with creaking stairs and floors, walls that haven't been painted in ages, and somewhat cracked wallpaper. The beds were very uncomfortable. There was no one at reception, and we only saw the host as we were leaving.

The rooms are very large and have fridges, and breakfast was good. There is free parking, too. Still, the hotel needs refurbishment: the furniture looks like it barely made it through the 70s, and street-facing rooms can be noisy. The front desk is unmanned. On check-in day, guests get a text message and email with instructions and door codes. Everything was only in German, which could be confusing if you don't speak the language. The hotel had apparently just changed ownership, so it couldn't take credit cards when I stayed in mid July 2022. Hopefully that changes soon. The place has potential.

The rooms were dirty and old, and I found a dead bug in my pillowcase 🫣. The place was unkempt and moldy, and cold air came in through the windows. The heating would turn itself off, so it was cold.

The rooms are dated and there's no staff on site. Cleanliness was only okay. The TV sometimes didn't work, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable. Some shower cubicles are broken, and there's mold in the shower in room 5. With nobody there to ask for help, and the website inaccessible, it was hard to get assistance.
