For the price, it was absolutely fine. We stayed two nights and got a baby cot at no extra charge. The owner or receptionist, I'm not quite sure, was very friendly and helpful. The rooms felt dated and a bit mismatched, and weren't spotlessly clean, but they were fine for sleeping and showering. It reminded me of a youth hostel. There's a kitchen for guests, a common room and a good breakfast, so everything you need is there. If luxury isn't a priority, this quaint, charming guesthouse should feel comfortable.

Pets are welcome, and parking is available on site. The prices are very reasonable, too. It's a simple, clean guesthouse that works well for a night or two. The rooms are functional and plainly furnished, and cleanliness was fine. Still, booking a double room and ending up with two separate beds did feel a bit like a youth hostel.

Breakfast the next morning was good and plentiful. The rest felt like stepping 30 years back in time: terrible mattresses, a wobbly bed and mold in the shower. Nobody was there when I arrived, so I got the key by phone. The bike garage was very cramped, and its lock needed replacing.

Everything was fine for what we paid. We wanted very affordable accommodation with breakfast, since we only needed a place to sleep and were out from breakfast until evening. That's what we got, so what more could you ask for at that price? The rooms had the bare essentials: a double bed, bathroom, shower and toilet. The shower wasn't well maintained and had moldy grout. We spend several holidays in Africa, including in bush camps, so we're not fussy about this kind of thing. But if you're particular, this guesthouse probably isn't for you. The buffet was decent and well stocked, the staff friendly, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the town center. There's nothing much to complain about, as long as you know what you're looking for.

It's very quiet, the hotel rooms are well maintained, and I like the atmosphere at Haffeld. The breakfast is quite adequate, and you can feel comfortable here. The place is in Wismar and costs less than 40 euros per person with breakfast, which is very reasonable. The downside is that booking a room online always takes a bit too long.
