Hotel Hof von Hannover

The bathroom was a pleasure to use each morning, and the facilities felt just right, neither too basic nor over the top. The rooms were clean, comfortable, well equipped, and in good condition, with satellite TV. Most of the shows were in German, though, and the only thing I could watch was 'Mr Bean Animated series'. The map showing the room location was printed on one half of the key, which surprised me. Check-in was quick, and even with only basic German I found it easy to get to the hotel and settle in for a rest. The breakfast buffet costs extra. It has meat, boiled eggs, toast and buns, four cereals including granola, muesli, oats and dried fruit, plus cornflakes and yoghurt. They bring the coffee in a huge jug just for your table, and everyone agreed it was wonderful. Hof Von Hannover also has a sauna, gym, two pool tables, a ping-pong table, a relaxation lounge, and a basic spa. There's room for lots of cars in the car park, less than a ten-second walk from reception. The town of wittmund is close by, and there's a local supermarket at the edge of the area. It takes about 10-20 minutes to walk there along a path beside the road, or just 2-3 minutes by car. Take the first left and you can't miss it.
