Strandchalet Elmo II

Nice houses, close to the sea.

It was peaceful around the house, and the dike was only a short walk away. Wremen has a bakery, a shop, a few restaurants, a small harbor, and somewhere to get a fish sandwich by the sea, but there isn’t much to do nearby without a car. For more to do, you’d need to head to Bremerhaven or Cuxhaven. The price felt acceptable to us, though next time we may check out other places. We stayed at holiday home Lale Andersen 5 with a group of friends and a toddler. The house had enough room for four adults and a child, and it was charming, with a washing machine and drying rack. The cot was broken when we arrived, but they replaced it quickly even though we arrived on a Sunday. Some things felt dated, including the furnishings, appliances, and general amenities. The house seemed well-used, and cleaning had been missed in a few spots. The coffee machine was old and seemed unhygienic until we cleaned it thoroughly. The shower wasn’t properly clean, some dishes were still dirty, and the duvet in the cupboard was best left unmentioned.

Good value for the price. It’s a lovely spot to unwind for a few days and enjoy spring sunshine with the dog.

We’ve been visiting Wremen for ten years and feel so at home here. In a few months, this will be our home, and I can’t wait. The air, countryside, and people all make it a place where you feel good. I don’t want to leave. Such a lovely holiday apartment.
