Babelfish Hostel

The location is convenient, but the hostel can get noisy. People gather outside late at night, and you hear them in the room. The train station wakes you up fairly often too, along with ambulances roaring past. It didn’t feel like a social hostel. The crowd seemed more working-class, including students, homeless people, and security guards. Nobody really spoke to each other while I was there, and the common areas were mostly empty. If a social atmosphere is what you want, this isn’t the place. It seems there’s only one other hostel in Würzburg, so they can charge a lot without much competition. €35 for a bed in a 10-person dorm with dated facilities is ridiculous. I’ve stayed in much better hostels for just €10 a night. If it were cheaper, I’d have put up with it, but I felt ripped off. Still, if you need to stay in Würzburg and want to avoid paying twice as much for a hotel, it’ll do. It has the bare necessities, but don’t expect much. The facilities aren’t worth the price.

The 10-bed dorm was alright, and I slept well. My main complaint is that there aren’t usable outlets near the beds. The showers and toilets are outside the room, but clean and decent. There isn’t much privacy in the showers, though that’s not unusual in hostels. It’s a good hostel near Würzburg’s central station. A bit expensive for what you get, but since it’s the only hostel in Würzburg, the price isn’t too bad.

A really affordable hostel right by the train station. The service was impeccable, especially from the person on late reception on 29/6. We were delayed, and they chose to stay an extra 30 minutes to wait for us. You’re an angel, thank you again! 💕

The location is good, with the train and bus stations just across the road. Communication was good too. The room was clean and big enough, and the bed looked a little old but was comfortable. It gets a bit noisy with the windows open. You can cook and eat as much as you like in the shared kitchen. There’s also a small shared terrace, and the shared shower was okay. You can leave your luggage if you let them know before check-in and after check-out. The price is good. Recommended.
