The apartment itself is nice, but our €500 deposit turned into a dispute over an already damaged door, alleged wall marks, and oven crumbs. We reported the door, which was broken before we arrived, right away on the first day. We only noticed it at night when trying to close it for bed, then told them the next morning. Now we’re being asked to pay for it, which is outrageous. The walls just had existing wear, and we weren’t in the rooms enough to have made them significantly dirty. It’s ridiculous to blame us for that. The photo shows a little bread stuck to the oven. We weren’t meant to clean it, but did anyway, so charging €500 for that is absurd. Holiday rentals need to be cleaned after guests, that’s normal. They make enough money without taking the deposit this way. All of it feels completely unfair. Don’t book there. Our previous tenant warned us, and we should’ve listened.

It’s a lovely holiday apartment with plenty of things provided, but the deposit isn’t returned over minor things like oven crumbs or wall stains that were already there. Even defects reported straight away are blamed on you. Edit after reply: In ten years there were hardly any reviews, and now this is the third time in a month someone has said the deposit wasn’t refunded. It’s ridiculous that anyone still books here.

I usually don’t post, but what I’ve been reading lately is unbearable. We’ve stayed there several times and had no problems. We brought a dog, and of course things occasionally got broken. It’s normal for that to be charged against the security deposit. We also talked with other tenants, and some of what they said about other guests was pretty embarrassing. People not behaving themselves there really says a lot. As the saying goes, “It’s not my property, so it’s none of my business.”
