The lack of privacy was a big problem. There’s one open bedroom with two double beds, so you’d need to know each other very well to stay here. The garbage bins are right outside the window, and their smell comes into the apartment as soon as you open it. The arrival and departure times also don’t match what the booking company provided. Unfortunately, we won’t stay here again.

Xanten is a beautiful, interesting town, with plenty of sights worth seeing. We also recommend the owners’ restaurant, Xantener Stuben: delicious food, fair prices, friendly service, and a lovely owner. Our apartment was very nice and had good, sufficient furnishings. The beds upstairs were comfortable, and even during a particularly hot week, the temperature in the attic was bearable. We’d like to return sometime.

A wonderful weekend! ☆☆☆☆☆ We stayed one night with three people, with a visit to the Roman Museum and a boat trip across the North and South Seas planned for the next day. The apartment was centrally located, so we could get everywhere on foot.

Quiet but central in Xanten, this was a very nice, clean holiday apartment. It was well furnished and had a lovely view of the cathedral. I’d be happy to stay here again.
