Appart-Pension-Schier

We really enjoyed this tidy apartment in the quiet part of Zell. The owner was lovely and shared information about local events, and the bed was very comfortable. There’s a kitchenette with a fridge and all the basics. The bathroom is very clean, though quite dated and so small it feels cramped. Extra towels, soap, coffee, tea and other bits are kept in the hallway cupboard. A very nice place to stay on the Moselle.

The Schier family's tips for outings were always useful, and since they're a winemaking family, they could answer our questions with real expertise. The accommodation is about a 15-minute walk from the town centre, along a lovely stretch by the Moselle. We've stayed with the Schier family in Zell an der Mosel several times, in both their apartments and holiday home. Everything was well equipped for a longer trip, spotlessly clean, and ready with fresh bed linen. They always left fresh towels outside the door, and there was chilled local wine in the wine cabinet at a very reasonable price. We felt right at home and would happily return.

We had a lovely long weekend with Familie Schier in Zell an der Mosel. They gave us a warm welcome and were always ready with good suggestions for places to visit and eat nearby. The rooms were clean and well cared for, with a small kitchenette. Breakfast had a good range, and anything that ran out was quickly replenished. The homemade vineyard peach jam is especially worth trying. We'd happily recommend the guesthouse and look forward to staying again.

There are lovely hiking and cycling routes nearby, and we could park right outside. There’s also a place to store bicycles and Wi-Fi. The owners were friendly and helpful, and we had a very nice holiday.
