8/10
That warm, funny welcome from the receptionist made up for a lot, especially since our German was pretty poor. The place is fairly priced and well placed for the nice local beach, with Wismar and its UNESCO sites easy to reach. Breakfast had a good range of options, though the coffee was below average and the eggs were overdone. And those pillows again. Why do hotels keep using duvets stuffed with cotton lumps or random, battered feathers? A good night's sleep is the one thing a guest really needs.

The countryside around here is beautiful, with lots to see and do in the region. We had a great room with a large balcony, and it was very clean. The people were kind and helpful too.

Wismar is only about a 10-minute drive away, and you can walk to the beach from this really nice place.
