We loved watching the activity from the balcony, and it was easy to pop over for soft-serve ice cream. Zingst quiets down around 10 pm anyway, and we didn’t get the construction-site impression mentioned in other reviews. Even after the rain, the underground garage was dry apart from a small puddle just inside the gate. The location suited us perfectly, though it’s right on the main promenade among restaurants, so it isn’t one of the quieter apartments in the FDZ portfolio. We knew it was very central beforehand and were fine with that. The apartment was modern and very much to our taste, with a high-quality kitchen that had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the sauna in the evenings and on cooler days. Communication before arrival was quick and easy, and check-in was just as smooth. We could park our car and both e-bikes in our reserved space in the spacious underground garage.

We spent a little over a week at the Baltic Sea House, Apartment 4, booked through FDZ, in July 2024. The building still seemed like an unfinished construction site, and the underground garage flooded when it rained. Across the street, construction started at 7 a.m. Refrigerated delivery trucks for the restaurant then parked right outside our bedroom window with their engines running for 30 minutes at a time. As soon as one left, another showed up, so sleeping in was impossible. We contacted FDZ and were told they couldn’t do anything about the construction or the trucks. I understand that, but those conditions should have been mentioned in the description. We wouldn’t have booked if we’d known.
