The location is the apartment's one real plus: nights were quiet, the market square and beach were easy to reach during the day, and the bakery and supermarket are just around the corner. Parking is available. But I haven't come across a rental in Zingst this poorly equipped in ten years. The kitchen had just two badly dented, scratched pans and one pot. The drinking glasses didn't match, and the kettle smelled strongly of plastic. Other apartments or houses I've stayed in at least had basic spices, sometimes even coffee grounds. Here, they clear everything out completely. There was no Wi-Fi. In the bathroom, the toilet sits so low it feels like sitting on the floor. The flush was already faulty during our stay, and the showerhead felt like it was scraping my skin. The bedroom had no fly screens at all, which seems like a basic thing these days, and the mattresses were worn out. Watch your back.
