Strandweiss & Strandgrau

The beach is just a short walk through the dune forest, and charging our electric car at the house was free, which was especially handy with the public charger so far away and often occupied. We had a wonderful winter stay at "Strandweiß" (Beach White). The house looks stunning in its Baltic Sea setting, and the warm, comfortable interior made us feel at home right away. We loved the fireplace, visible from both the kitchen and living room, the very comfortable sofa, and the well-planned switches, sockets, and music streaming. The kitchen was better equipped than we expected and made shared breakfasts and dinners a pleasure. The spacious bathrooms, private sauna, and nicely landscaped garden were lovely too. Communication with Carsten felt almost like talking with an old friend. Thanks for such a memorable holiday. We’re already looking forward to another visit and having more time to enjoy everything.

Everything felt easy to find, just as it would at home, from the fireplace wood and sauna towels to toys for our grandson. We felt at home straight away in Strandweiss. The house is simple, elegant, high quality, and clearly planned with care. A lovely place to relax and feel good. We hope future guests appreciate it and look after it like their own home.

After long beach walks, the sauna and whirlpool were especially welcome, and the beach at Zinnowitz is under a 10-minute walk through a lovely forest. Edeka, a bakery, and a fishmonger are also close enough to reach on foot. We had a great week at Strandweiss on Usedom. It’s modern and has what you need to unwind. The two spaces by the garden gate are a bit tight, though. With our VW van there definitely wouldn’t have been room for a third car. The kitchen was a real highlight: we cooked dinner each evening and found everything we needed, including a mixer, scales, pans, pots, bowls, spices, microwave, toaster, and kettle. The fireplace, which you can see from the kitchen and living room, was great too. Cleaning before arrival could have been better. The dishwasher wasn’t fully emptied, the tiles behind the stove were greasy, the bath towels were dirty, and the windows were grimy. The firelighters and lighter were empty as well, so we bought replacements ourselves. That’s nitpicking, though, and didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the house.

The short walk to the beach through the neighboring woods was lovely, and the town center is easy to reach on foot too. We felt completely at home in this beautiful place. The house (beach white) is wonderful, tastefully furnished with very high-quality pieces, and there’s really nothing missing. Fantastic!
