Right in the center of Zweibrücken, and the stay was really good. The reception and breakfast staff were warm and welcoming. Breakfast had a nice range of choices, too.

I came back after staying here in 2011, this time in 2024. It’s a lovely little hotel, with kind staff and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicious, and the location is central and very pleasant.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the location made it easy to get around. It’s two minutes from Alexanderplatz and the pedestrian zone, which leads to the canal and its lovely tree-shaded paved paths. I borrowed one of the hotel’s small but working bikes to explore. I was there July 8-12. My first room, #105, was small and looked onto the street. When I reported that the bathroom ventilation wasn’t working, they moved me to #101. It was twice the size, had a bathroom window, and faced the back courtyard, which is a drive-through area. The WLAN was good, but people smoked below my window and there was quite a bit of courtyard traffic at certain times. Both rooms looked out onto nearby walls or apartments. Nearly everyone wore masks in the very small lobby and breakfast room. Still, the tables weren’t 1.5 meters apart, and everyone used the buffet serving tools without gloves, though hand disinfectant was available in the lobby. The breakfast room was packed on Sunday morning. I think guests should have been told when to come so distancing was possible, or given the option of having breakfast in their room.

Really friendly, and very clean. For what I paid, I’ve got no complaints. My room was a little cold when I arrived, and I couldn’t get the radiator working, but the problem sorted itself out.
