Sheraton Djibouti

The beach view is lovely, and the conference room was okay, though its single corner A/C didn’t cool the room evenly. On the 5th floor, the hallway smelled damp and the rooms felt a bit old. The towels and room accessories were worn, and the floor hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. Food was average, with little variety, and drinks were overpriced. Staff need more hospitality training, especially in the restaurant, where they seemed untrained for the most part.

The rooms are functional and fine, but nothing special, and the beach area didn’t seem worth a visit. Breakfast had options and was adequate, though requests that needed staff help could take ages or never come, and service was inconsistent. There’s rarely anyone in the Executive/Business Lounge, and the food and drink selection there is very limited. Dirty towels and glasses were left around the pool from the afternoon until the next morning, giving the impression that nobody was looking after the property. It’s an average hotel that falls short of Sheraton standards and feels more like a Four Points. Better maintenance, supervision, and service could make a big difference.

The poolside area was my favorite, with a lovely sea view and a refreshing breeze that made it a great place to unwind. The room was in good shape and had the basics I needed, including coffee facilities and a safe for valuables. My stay at Sheraton Djibouti was really pleasant, with a comfortable room, good amenities, and a calm atmosphere. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Djibouti.

The burger I had was excellent, and the bar, casino, and gym were nice extras. I enjoyed my short stay at the Sheraton. The rooms were comfortable and service was good, so I’d recommend it for a business trip in Djibouti.
