I live in Brazil now, but I'm from this region and was visiting my parents with my family this week. For the third year in a row, I wanted to end the family visit by staying at this very nice place. I checked again at noon today for our booking tonight and found out they couldn't find it. After looking into it, they realized they'd mistakenly put it down for the end of this month. So there was no room for us tonight. I left disappointed, with nowhere to go, and the staff and management simply ignored me. I'm not coming back.

We won't be back. We had arranged a family dinner with my grandparents, whom we only see once a year, and other loved ones, but the reservation was for the wrong date. The restaurant had been given the correct date from the start, so this was their mistake. They did nothing to fix the problem they'd caused. It showed a total lack of respect for the customer and all 10 guests. Very disappointed.

The room was large and fairly comfortable, though one bed squeaked whenever you moved and needed oiling. We had a lovely evening with friends, with a six-course dinner and wine. The service and food were excellent.

Breakfast wasn't that good, and there were a lot of flies. Dinner was good, although the menu was already set. It had five dishes to choose from, and we picked two, which was enough for us. The wine was very good, and the head waiter gave excellent service.

I was glad we went, and we had a great stay. I'd been a bit skeptical after reading the reviews, and nearly skipped the romantic getaway because of them. We'd bought a gift certificate through an auction site the year before and needed to use it. We arrived to cake and coffee, and our Comfort rooms were fine and clean. The waitresses were very sweet when we went down for a beer before dinner. We had their five-course dinner with wine, which they call the gourmet menu. With my past as a chef, I can be a little tougher to impress, but the food was very good, nicely cooked, well seasoned, and had good combinations. The bread was delicious, with a nice tough crust and lovely saltiness. The wine menu was well balanced with the food, and each course and wine was presented nicely. The waiters topped up our glasses, and with the main course they offered us more meat, potatoes, and sauce. They grow some of their own food in an impressive 1600 m2 kitchen garden. We finished the night with coffee and petit fours. I'd have had a gin and tonic afterward, since the ones at the next table looked fantastic, but I couldn't manage any more alcohol that night. 😂😂
