Hotel Osterso

For the price, this place is amazing. It's a digital hotel, so we didn't see any staff. The beds were really comfortable, breakfast was lovely, and the view was amazing. It's very clean, though a little tired. Getting here from the motorway took about 15 minutes, and I'd happily stay again.

We had a confirmed booking for three people for December 22-23, 2025, but the hotel never sent the door code. We spent an hour outside the locked doors in the middle of the night, trying several emails and phone calls, with no answer. We feel the hotel robbed us. They later refused to refund us and, in their reply to our review, falsely accused us of being aggressive. They wrote: “Our phone line is available 24/7. We do not, however, continue dialogue in cases where communication turns threatening or involves attempts at pressure or extortion toward staff. Protecting our employees is non-negotiable.” To us, it seems deceived customers don't matter to them, only their staff. Never book here! You can play pool or ping pong upstairs, and the service is great. It's a quiet, minimalist old-fashioned place, with thin walls and a strong hot shower. The view over the sea and garden is lovely, with birds among the fruit trees. It's not the cleanest, but it has charm and good locks, and has what you need to rest. 🏡

For the price, it's super cheap and super clean, with an excellent view across the fjord. The bed was excellent too. Just keep in mind there was no TV, no proper cups, and only one or two towels.
