Scheelsminde Herregård

The staff were friendly, efficient, polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, with the most comfortable beds, and breakfast was excellent. The buffet could have been topped up faster, though. A lovely place, with a pool and jacuzzi. Excellent 👌

I arrived to find a mistake in my room reservation, which the hotel administrator confirmed and said would be fixed. But later I was charged for an extra booking I never used, and I still haven't received a refund. I contacted the hotel and they didn't sort it out. I'm very disappointed by this unprofessional service and don't recommend the place.

The rooms were clean and nice, and the people were friendly. The main problem was breakfast: by the time we came down, almost nothing was left, and it was quite expensive. I'd recommend staying here if you just need a place to sleep, but definitely not for breakfast.

The dinner's vegan main course was disappointing and not very filling, just boiled potatoes, sauce and grilled romaine salad. We were a family of four invited to stay for a round birthday, and the hotel knew in advance that we eat vegan. The snacks and starter were fine and close to the omni version, and the dessert was fine too, with vegan dessert for everyone. At the midnight snack, the vegan hotdogs came on stale bread from that morning's breakfast. Breakfast had müsli, cornflakes, oats, soy yogurt, oat and soy milk, fruit, bread and jam. There was no plant-based butter, even after I asked the server. We had a family room that looked renovated, but the bathroom hadn't been. In late November its heating didn't work. We heard the same about other rooms from guests, and saw that the heat was turned all the way up with no effect. It was a disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend this place to vegans.
