City Sleep-In - Hostel

The location is amazing, prices are fair, and the welcome was warm. Having shared common rooms with a kitchen and dining area is handy. Keep in mind, though, that one shower is shared by the whole floor. In the six-person shared room, the window wouldn't close, so it was cold and really noisy. Everything also felt pretty old school.

It's at least in the city center, and the terrace is nice, but for the price I think you should consider somewhere else. The room and bed were bad, and the bathroom was small and kind of dirty. Reception is closed from 1pm to 4pm, so you have to pay 20kr to lock your bags for those four hours. Bring your own linen and towel or pay another 70kr. I don't want to spit on the place, but it feels too pricey for what you get.

The location makes it easy to get around, close to major bus stops, the metro, and Aarhus's main train station. I also like the big kitchen, with plenty of fridges and room for groceries. Breakfast is offered and is pretty complete and healthy. The hostel has cool art on the walls, the beds and dorms are okay for what you pay, and the shared toilets and showers are always super clean. There are lots of options for different choices, and booking is always easy. The people are kind and friendly, too. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs, otherwise you may want some. I'm an easy sleeper and sleep like a stone. This is one of my favourite places to stay in Aarhus!

The bedrooms are clean, and the common areas are nice, especially the backyard. The price and location are good too. Most rooms share a bathroom, though, and the facilities there aren't great. You also have to rent or bring your own towels and linen. Reception is only open for 8-10 hours, with a lunch break.
