Four Points Flex by Sheraton Aarhus Viby

Parking was free, which saved me quite a bit during my stay. The room itself was small, with no in-room amenities like a fridge or iron. There's no laundry room or fitness center either. At least the shower cubicle has a sliding door to keep water away from the basin and toilet, and the toilet has a lockable door. There are places to eat nearby, including Burger King, McDonald's and a supermarket. Breakfast across the Four Points Flex is standardized, with bread, ham, eggs, coffee, salad, yogurt and juices.

My room looked as if repairs were still underway: the walls and ceiling weren't finished, and there was dust and a clear cement smell. The light was dim, and the TV didn't seem to work, not even on local channels. There was no carpet in the bathroom area, and no coffee-making setup or bottled water. I hope they sort these things out for future guests.

The road noise was extremely intrusive, even with every window closed. The hot water was only lukewarm, around a temperature that can be ideal for legionella to grow, so I wouldn't risk staying there again.

You get what you pay for at this budget hotel. It's cheap and clean, and they gave me the foam pillows I asked for. The rooms are tiny, and there's only one iron and ironing board for the whole hotel. You're not allowed to iron in your room; the iron is kept in a toilet on the ground floor. There aren't any nice food options nearby, just plenty of junk food.
