Guesthouse Sharon Suite

It’s a big house with several rooms, plus a roomy shared kitchen, living room, and dining room. The location worked well too: about 10 minutes by bike to the city centre and 5 minutes to the sea. A really nice place to stay.

We arrived on a Friday in August with my family for a two-night stay at Guesthouse Sharon in Aarhus. We’d booked a four-bed room with a balcony through Booking.com. When we got there, the owner had apparently rented that room out privately and tried to get us to take a damp basement apartment instead. We’d been in touch through Booking.com several times, most recently the day before, so he could have told us the room was no longer available. We left and found somewhere else. After two phone calls and a letter, Booking.com refunded us. I wouldn’t rent here again. It was unreliable.

You get your own room, with the bathroom, kitchen and other spaces shared. It’s clean enough, and has what you need. Just a guesthouse.

I especially liked how peaceful it was. The kitchen has everything needed if you want to cook, and the place is clean and homey. It’s also well placed for the beach, downtown, the universities, den gamleby and the art museum. This cosy villa is run by a really friendly family who made me feel at home and made my time in Aarhus memorable. It’s an affordable choice if you’re after some peace and quiet. Thank you 😊 Finland,
