Kaløvig Badehotel

From the restaurant, you get an excellent view of the small harbour and sea. We stayed one night and had a great time. The rooms have been newly renovated and are cozy, and the staff are professional and helpful. The food was very good quality. Prices are a bit high compared with other hotels, but I thought they were worth it. The hotel also hosts lots of concerts and other events. I’d recommend it for the views and nice rooms.

The main problem was housekeeping: during my five-day stay, nobody serviced the room once. Trash built up, and towels and linens weren’t refreshed. I was away for training from around 8am until after 4pm, and when I asked for help, I was told to call during opening hours, 9am-4pm. Reception was closed when I checked out. I also booked a Classic Deluxe room, but it looked nothing like the online photos. There was no tea or coffee, the TV didn’t work, and instead of a sea view, I could see a sauna where undressed people came and went, so I had to keep the blinds closed most of the time. A big disappointment. I won’t stay here again and don’t recommend it.

We held our two children’s christening party at Kaløvig Badehotel, and the day went really well. The food was great, and all our guests enjoyed it. The service was excellent, and the team catered to all our needs and ideas. Thank you.

There’s even a little playground for children, and you can rent a room and go winter bathing. The food is really good, too. I liked watching the boats and the people working on or enjoying them, with Aarhus bay as the view. It has a local feel and is a real pearl, just waiting for you to come by and experience it.
