For an affordable one-night solo stay, it's fine. The room was clean and quiet, had the basics, and the location is great. But the overall experience is limited, and I wouldn't stay more than 1-2 nights. Bathroom supplies are just hand soap and shower gel, the AC is a bit loud, and the pillow has seen better days. Breakfast is simple and okay for one morning, but I wouldn't buy it for more days. The lounge was being renovated and smelled like sewage. There's also no easy way to get luggage to the elevator: you have to carry it up stairs at the entrance first, which makes no sense for a hotel. Luggage storage costs extra, with no option to leave it at reception. Once I added breakfast, luggage, and toiletries, I could have found a better place for the same price.

The location is very convenient, right by the train station but still quiet. The city center is less than five minutes away, and there's a mall connected just around the corner. The beds were good, and the breakfast buffet was tasty and inexpensive. For the price, we couldn't find anything comparable in the area, though we tried once and couldn't manage it. The room was on the small side but adequate, though it could have been tidier and cleaner. I'd definitely recommend it for a 2-3 night stay.

The only thing I liked was the location near the railway station. Wakeup Aarhus didn't feel customer friendly. I arrived around 10 am and was surprised to have to pay for luggage storage. With heavy bags, I had to get past several staircases just to reach reception, then the elevator and the luggage room. When I asked about cheaper storage nearby, reception said there wasn't any. I later found much cheaper storage at Aarhus Railway Station and used it on both my check-in and check-out days. The luggage hassle and trips back and forth with heavy bags took time and energy and completely disrupted my plans to start a city tour smoothly. I was also encouraged to pay extra for early check-in and a higher-floor room, neither of which I needed. It felt more like upselling than help. The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting and was poor. For transparency, the attached photos compare luggage storage charges as of 28 December 2025: Photos 1-3 show Wakeup Aarhus, and Photos 4-5 show Aarhus Railway Station.

The room was clean and surprisingly quiet, even though it was right next to a street and the central station. I had a great stay. The bathroom is unusual, but roomy enough for one person.

It's a nice hotel right by the train station, and the rooms are basic and quiet. I was disappointed with the service, though. There's no wardrobe or shelf for unpacking, which is especially inconvenient on a business trip. After checkout, I was shocked to be charged 70DKK to store my luggage. For longer storage they charge 170DKK, which feels steep for such a basic service.
