Aakirkeby is a lovely little town, and the island I came to for work is beautiful, but I didn't care for the hotel. The rooms are small, the furniture was fine, and the bed was far too soft and uncomfortable. With no air conditioning, the heat kept me from sleeping at night. Service was very poor too: I had to call four times to get the invoice, which I could only pass on to my company late. I'll definitely find somewhere else next time.

The staff were sweet, the food was good, and there was a nice choice of local and national beer. For the price, the hotel is great, and I'd suggest it to anyone wanting a comfortable night's sleep without spending much. Aakirkeby has some interesting churches, though for fun evenings you need to head to the bigger towns by the sea.
