Sandkaas Badehotel

The room was filthy, and the worst hotel experience I've had. On the ground floor, behind a glass door, it smelled horrific, possibly from black mold on the wall or sewage. There were grease stains on the lampshades, dust and dirt on the lamp base, hair on the sheets, loose wallpaper, and dust across the floors and baseboards. Blood and yellow marks decorated the ceiling. The promised ocean view was actually about 70 precent parking lot, and the spiders felt like sleeping companions. We told reception we couldn't sleep in those conditions for what we'd paid. She said there were no other rooms and no refund. After a big argument, showing her the room multiple times, and speaking with her boss, they finally agreed to refund us. They tricked us, but Booking.com helped and gave them a heads-up that this was wrong. A couple of days later, we got our money back.

A peaceful, charming spot with a great beach nearby. The owners were cheerful and welcoming, and it was just right for relaxing. Thanks, we'd recommend it.

I've never had a hotel breakfast this delicious. The buffet left me without superlatives.

No loud music in reception or television, just peace and quiet. I checked in late for a work stay, but there was a kind note and a key waiting at reception. The host couple, Josephine and Christian, made me feel welcome and appreciated. Sandkaas Badehotel is clean and lovely, with a beautiful sea view and an authentic feel that reminded me very positively of the TV series Badehotellet. Breakfast was fantastic, with homemade buns, soft-boiled eggs, and good ingredients that all tasted great. I don't regret staying here, and would very much like to return, for work or privately.
